soccer!

We had Landon's very first soccer game tonight. They won! Even though they don't keep score, Landon did....he almost made a goal too! Just shy of the goal....

And he got to be goalie for a bit as well. He made sure to remind us that no one was able to score on him. He has some good little soccer players on his team. I was impressed...sure they have all played before, it's just Landon that is the newbie to the game, but still. I wish I had their energy. I would have been huffing and puffing up and down the field. ^_^

This was at the end of the game...isn't he cute? he had so much fun!

First week of September

Okay, so we had the first day of school this last Monday. Landon is an official first grader...holy cow!!! He's not supposed to be so big already. Sigh. That's okay. He's loving every minute of it though.

And then of course, this last week we also had the fair. Landon took a friend, Justin, with him and they had a really good time together. Mackenzee just liked being outside. Though she did fall asleep for a bit. The fair doesn't change too much. It's the same every year. You have your kids ride a few rides, you walk around through the vendor booths, get a Mr. B's ice cream cone (yum!!!) and there you have it. Three hours tops. I guess if you are planning on buying something there, it might be different, but yeah. We did get to go to the petting zoo, which was hilarious for us because of Mackenzee. She didn't quite know what to think about all of the pigs and goats and sheep.

The boys were so cute together. They were just tall enough to go on some of the bigger rides and they went for it. They had so much fun too. This picture is of them doing their "secret" handshake. Isn't it awesome?

Go Boise State!!!!

Yes, my daughter is in a BSU football uniform. Do you have a problem with that? I happen to believe she is adorable.

Her daddy is very proud. The big orange and blue.....

Alina is ONE!

Happy Birthday Alina!!!! I can't believe she's already one year old. What's even more sad about this is that it means that Mackenzee is turning one just around the corner.

All the kids eating their cake and ice cream....poor Savanna was forgotten in the mass hysteria that ensued once the candles were blown out, and so here she is sitting quietly and nicely....watching everyone else eat...and not saying a word. Yeah....Landon would have been telling me off at that point.....sigh. The difference between a four year old and a six year old.

Look at the two of them checking out Alina's new toy she got for her birthday. Mackenzee will be getting the same thing...sh! don't tell her!

The mouse trap

We went to Holly's house today for our play group...what a story to tell.....

Apparently Holly went into the bathroom last night and there was a little mouse huddled in the corner behind the toilet staring out at her.....So, all the boys decided that they needed to try to catch it. This was their plan...ingenious isn't it??? The old bait and trap.....yeah...it kept their attention for a whole five minutes....mouse is still loose on the house...

Dierkes Lake

We went to Dierkes Lake this last weekend...I've never been there before sadly enough...we had a pretty good time....poor Landon was bummed out because they wouldn't let him go off of the diving board....and he had to play in the "kiddie pool" area which was so boring compared to Bass Lake where he gets to go down the slide and jump off the board out at the dock....oh well...Mackenzee had a blast, as usual when it comes to water. She just can't get enough of the splashing. It's almost exhausting taking her to where there is water now, because she will just jump in and go for it with or without your help. Sigh....

Greta's mommy mistook a pullup for a swim diaper and so by the end of the watery day...Greta was simply "bootylicious" due to the swell of the pullup...it was hilarious..

We went to Dierkes because my sister Mel came to visit for the weekend..one last hurrah before school starts up again. The boys are inseperable, and so much fun to watch...the age difference is drastic enough just yet....Talon is 8, Landon is 6, and Austin is 4...so soon enough the span will be large enough to distance their relationship some....but for now...you couldn't tear them apart even if you tried.

And the girls....a bunch of blondes and a red head....Shelby is so much fun....such a sweet and fun loving spirit...I decided that since Jaysen had Kenzee and Landon was stuck in the kiddie part with the others...I would take to the diving board with Shelby so she wouldn't be alone...I had so much fun...I forgot what it was like to just be silly while you were swimming. For so long now, it's always been about making sure that the children were okay, and what not...but I decided to be a bit selfish and went for it and decided that I need to go swimming without my kids more often....very refreshing....
