Tyler flys in

Jaysen's cousin Tyler just finished his mission. So, he went to the airport yesterday to see him come off the plane. What a crowd!

Everyone waiting as patiently as possible to see the plane come in.

Here he is!!!

He looks so much older than I remember...which happens when you haven't seen someone for two years. Here he is with his mom and dad. His dad is Jaysen's dad's twin...does that make sense? They don't look the same though...anyway...that's besides the point. He's home and the family is happy to have him back. His homecoming, or whatever you call it now, is on Sunday, so there will be more pics to come....

I can't believe it!

Really...I can't. I just took a peek at my blog posting of the family reunion and realized I didn't put a single picture of my kids in there....holy cow! So, here they are! Mackenzee had such a blast in the water. She would have sat there all day long splashing.

And...I know you can't see his face...but this is Landon doing what is now his favorite thing at Bass Lake.....going down the slide. head first...backwards...cannon ball style....you name it...he did it....down the slide...

And though I know he is not one of my own children....I just have to add this one. No fear in this kid...Austin literally flew into the water when he got there. Doesn't it look like the landing would have hurt though?

Casperson reunion

This picture best describes the Casperson family reunion. Just chilling out. It was so much fun! It was hot, but the water was so nice...even if you just dipped your feet in it. Just being able to take a day to relax, be outside, and do it with your family was great.

Here's the fam....okay...not all of us..we were missing preobably half of the family, but that's okay. Don't we look like an exciting bunch?

And this....just love this...Grandma Casperson and the most recent great grandchild to be born. Bailey is 7 1/2 months old. Isn't that what family reunions are about? To bring together families that don't get to see each other as often as we'd like, so that we can re-connect, or continue to be connected. What are we without our families?

Addicted

I have something I need to confess. My name is Ashlee and I....am a sour patch kid-aholic. I can't seem to get enough of them. Right now I am sitting at my computer desk with a huge bag of them. I bought it in bulk at WinCo. My favorite ones are the red ones. They call to me. My teeth are currently throbbing from the excessive amount of sour and sugar coating on these little guys, and yet...I still pop them into my mouth. I was doing good for awhile, and then a few weeks ago I bought a small bag at the grocery store. I gave into temptation. And now...Jaysen eats them, and Landon...even poor little Mackenzee wants them. She loves to suck the sour sugar off of them. What can I say? I've contaminated my whole house with these devilish things. Look at my poor children....don't they look mad with hunger for that soury sweet combination you can only find when biting the head off of a sour patch kid?

Sadly, they don't have a program for my kind of addiction. So, I guess I just continue torturing myself until my teeth fall out. It will have been well worth it though.

Bass Lake

The Burnhams had an impromptu get together down at Bass Lake this last weekend to go swimming. All the kids had so much fun. We did have quite the scare when Landon went missing. But, he was later found huddled under some other groups towels drying off. Apparently he forgot where our table was. But, good times were had by all.

Landon had so much fun down at Bass lake this last weekend. We strapped a life jacket on him and he went off the diving board. Jaysen made him swim out to the dock without any help (jaysen swam next to him of course) and though it took forever because Landon only knows how to doggy paddle, he made it.

This is my neice, Jordan, and my nephew, Kaden.

Mackenzee couldn't get enough of the water. She just loved it. Hailey held her for a bit in the water while I took some snaps.

Here's Breanna walking down the runway. She is wearing the latest in swimwear. You go girl!

Kirsten rocks

look...she loves me soooo much that she's trying to kiss me.

My neice, Kirsten, has grown up so much. It's been almost two years since we've seen her. We've missed her more than we could ever say.

Doing her hair and makeup is a ritual we have done since I was her age. She used to come and visit and I would curl her 4 year old hair and put lipstick and eye shadow on her little face and take pictures of her. Nothing has changed. Although the last time I was able to do this was almost two years ago. Sigh. Hopefully it won't be that long again.....love you Kirst.

Robinson reunion

Ah!!! The refreshing taste of Rhubarb punch. Can't you see how much she enjoys it?

The Robinson house turned 100 years this year. It was built in 1906! And still just beautiful. My grandpa Robinson was born IN the house. Lots of fun memories and stories here. We had a great time reminiscing about the past playing here as kids.

Here's Grandpa and all of his kids. I haven't seen some of my aunts in sooo long. It was nice to see them all, and have all of them together. I couldn't pass up the photographic opportunity and made them all get together for a snapshot. Starting from the left is Dee (the baby of the family), Janice (youngest daughter), Sheryl (the middle child), Grandpa, Marcine (oldest daughter), and my dad (the oldest child).

Landon's newfound freedom

Yay!!!! Look at that!!! He did it! No training wheels. He's very proud of himself too.

Showing off a little bit isn't he???? Rightfully so. Unfortunately the bribe for him to learn to ride without the training wheels was the purchase of a new bike. Now we have to pay up.....Sure, his knees hit the handle bars on this bike he got when he was four.....so he needs one...but dang it!!!!! Oh well. Kudos to Landon.

even more wedding photos

Holly stole my camera and took this adorable photo of Alina...

it's a close call, but look how much cuter my orphan child is than Alina.....lol
it was so hot that Kenzee practically stole my glass of water and dumped it down the front of her trying to get a drink.

And here is the species Greta girlicus in her native surroundings. Watch as she crouches low just before she makes the great leap to the rocks below. Nature at it's most beautiful state.......

More wedding photos

I just love this photo. Savanna just loves her mommy sooooo much.

Brotherly and Sisterly love.....

Genea wanted to be in the wedding photos too. So, we had to take a few of her. She's such a cutie, how can you not?

Wedding photos

Here is the happy couple

the blushing bride

the new family

Here they are!!! The wedding was Saturday at my Grandma's house. Mel looked beautiful and so did the girls in their pretty dresses. Though the older ones were dying to take off the pretty dresses after a couple of hours in the hot sun. I can't say I blame them.
With this wedding I have inherited two more neices and two more nephews. There's Nathaniel (14), Jonathon (10), Emily (7), and Stephanie (5). I hope I got the ages right. A few of them had birthdays the past few months and so numbers changed. Anyway...Our family grew quite a bit, and we're excited to have them.
